About number and composition population of VINNYTSIA REGION
by All-Ukrainian Population Census 2001 data
The number of the urban population, according to the All-Ukrainian population census data, accounted for 818.9 thousand persons or 46%,and that of the rural population - 953.5 thousand people or 54%. Since 1989 urban population has decreased by 38.3 thousand people and rural by – 121.9 thousand people.
