About number and composition population of RIVNE REGION
by data All-Ukrainian Population Census ‘2001
The number of the urban population, according to the All-Ukrainian Population Census data, accounted for 549.7 thousand persons or 47%, and that of the rural population - 623.6 thousand people or 53%. Since 1989 urban population has grew by 19.7 thousand people and rural decline by – 16 thousand people, but they still are in the same ratio.
