About number and composition population of IVANO-FRANKIVS'K REGION
by data All-Ukrainian census of the population 2001
The number of the urban population, according to the All-Ukrainian population censusu data, accounted for 593 thousand persons or 42.1%,and that of the rural population - 816.8 thousand people or 57.9%. Since 1989 urban population has decreased by 4.2 thousand people and rural by – 9.5 thousand people, but they still are in the same ratio.
