About number and composition population of AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA

The number of the urban population, according to the data of the All-Ukrainian census of the population ’2001, accounted for 1,274.3 thousand persons, or 62.7%, and that of the rural population 759.4 thousand people, or 37.3%. Since 1989 urban population has decreased by 65 thousand people and rural increased by – 35 thousand people, but they still are in the same ratio.
