Foregoing data say about gradual increase in gender disproportion in the population of Kherson region , if in 1989 there were 1139 women per 1000 men, than in 2001 – 1142. These changes are explained by changes in gender structure of rural population, where since 1989 gender ratio has changed from 1158 women per 1000 men to 1182 women per 1000 men. Besides, according to the data of the last census, the proportion of women to men at the reproductive age become better, since the index, calculated like division of number of women in this age group by 1000 men in corresponding age, come to 1027.
