About number and composition population of ZAKARPATTIA REGION

   During the All-Ukrainian population census besides actual there have been accounted permanent population, which is used in calculations of indices, characterizing socio-economic structure of the population. Permanent population of Zakarpattia region, at the date of 5 December 2001 accounted for 1,254.6 thousand people, including men - 604.1 thousand people, or 48.2%, that of women - 650.5 thousand people, or 51.8%, Urban population – 460.4 thousand people, or 36.7%, that of rural population – 794.2 thousand people, or 63.3%.
   Among permanent population citizens of Ukraine totalled 1,252.8 thousand people, citizens of other countries – 1.5 thousand people, including citizens of CIS (Commonwealth Independent States) – 1.2 thousand people. There were about 0.3 thousand persons without citizenship.
