About number and composition population of TERNOPIL' REGION

During the All-Ukrainian census population besides actual there have been accounted permanent population, which is used in calculations of indices, characterizing socio-economic structure of the population. Permanent population of region, at the date of December 5, 2001 accounted for 1,138.5 thousand people, including men – 527.9 thousand people, or 46.4, that of women – 610.5 thousand people, or 53.6%, urban population – 480.4 thousand people, or 42.2%, that of rural population – 658.1 thousand people, or 57.8%.
Among permanent population citizens of Ukraine totaled 1,136.4 thousand people, citizens of other countries – 1.2 thousand people, including citizens of CIS and Baltic countries – 1.1 thousand people. There were about 0.5 thousand persons without citizenship in region and those who haven’t specify their citizenship – 0.4 thousand people.
