About number and composition population of KYIV REGION

   During the All-Ukrainian census of the population besides actual there have been accounted permanent population, which is used in calculations of indices, characterizing socio-economic structure of the population. Permanent population of region, at the date of 5 December 2001 accounted for 1821.1 thousand people, including men - 841.5 thousand people, or 46.2%, that of women - 979.6 thousand people, or 53.8%;%, urban population – 1041.6 thousand people, or 57.2%, that of rural population – 779.5 thousand people, or 42.8%.
   Among permanent population citizens of Ukraine totalled 1813.5 thousand people, citizens of other countries – 3.6 thousand people, including citizens of CIS – 3.4 thousand people. There were about 2.5 thousand persons without citizenship and those who haven’t specify their citizenship – 1.5 thousand people.
