About number and composition population of KHMEL'NYTS'KYI REGION

During the All-Ukrainian census of the population besides actual there have been accounted permanent population, which is used in calculations of indices, characterizing socio-economic structure of the population. Permanent population of Khmel'nyts'kyi region , at the date of 5 December 2001 accounted for 1 million 426.6 thousand people, including men - 657.3 thousand people, or 46.1%, that of women - 769.3 thousand people, or 53.9%.
Among permanent population citizens of Ukraine totalled 1 million 420.2 thousand people, citizens of other countries – 3.1 thousand people, including citizens of CIS – 3.0 thousand people. There were about 2 thousand persons without citizenship and those who haven’t specify their citizenship – 1.6 thousand people.
