About number and composition population of IVANO-FRANKIVS'K REGION

During the All-Ukrainian census of the population besides actual there have been accounted permanent population, which is used in calculations of indices, characterizing socio-economic structure of the population.Permanent population of Ivano-Frankivs'k region , at the date of 5 December 2001 accounted for 1,406 thousand people, including men - 663,300 people, or 47.2%, that of women - 742,900 people, or 52.8%, urban population – 586,000 people, or 41.7%, that of rural population – 820,000 people, or 58.3%.
Among permanent population citizens of Ukraine totalled 1,402,300 people, citizens of other countries – 1.5 thousand people, including citizens of CIS – 1.4 thousand people. There were about 0.4 thousand persons without citizenship and those who haven’t specify their citizenship – 0.4 thousand people.
