According to the refined data of the All-Ukrainian population census ‘2001, the total number of the actual population Dnipropetrovs'k region, as of December 5, 2001 accounted for 3,567.6 thousand people, including urban population – 2,960.3 thousand people (83%), rural population – 607.3 thousand people(17%).
