Foregoing data say about gradual decrease in gender disproportion in the population of region. if in 1989 there were 1169 women per 1000 men. than in 2001 – 1155. These changes are explained by changes in gender structure of rural population. where since 1989 gender ratio has changed from 1213 women per 1000 men to 1172 women per 1000 men. In towns. where this index has increased from 1108 women per 1000 men in 1989 to 1130 women per 1000 men in 2001.
