The number of people with higher and complete secondary education accounted for 1568.2 thousand people, that exceeds by 12.7% the corresponding characteristic of the All-Ukrainian census of the population ‘1989.
The rise of the educational standard of the population is typical of both urban and rural population. The number of persons with complete higher education per 1000 persons of the population in specified age since 1989 has increased by 31.1% in towns and by 61.1% in the village.The number of persons with secondary education per 1000 persons of the population in specified age since 1989 has increased by 29.5% in towns and by 47.6.1% in the villages.
