About number and composition population of ODESA REGION

During the years that have passed since the census of the population ‘1989, the number of towns in region has decreased by 2 and on the date of the All-Ukrainian census population ‘2001 there were 52 towns. Among urban settlements 7 numbered under 2,000 inhabitants, 29 - under 10,000 inhabitants,8 – from 10 to 20 thousand inhabitants, 4 – more than 50 thousand inhabitants. In city of Odesa live 1 millions 29 thousand persons.
